have a strong interest in prioritizing
1) ecological balance
2) peace play
3) the full and free expression of young children as dancers
drummers poets singers cartoonists instrument players
mimes sculptors comedians dramatizers
Wanted: people who will "crawl for Congress" as write-in candidates
in all 435 Congressional districts for 12 to 20 minutes a day
as libertarian paleocons with the above priorities in play
immediate goals and action
cultivating the free and full expression of children
comes first because it is deeply satisfying
and the peace movement is small elderly
desperately needs young people who are fully alive
not technococooned
not alienated
not addicted
not passive consumers
a large and lively peace movement
diverting resources
from stupid counterproductive wasteful wars
to ecological problem solving
will make radicle (rooted) decentralism
Jeffersonian yeoman farming communities
free states
retribalization
participatory democracy
local music & dance traditions
possible and sustainable now
for the 7th generation
& beyond

David Brower's C P R
Time for Timescale politics!
C P R FOR THE EARTH
"Conservation: We've got to use our resources rationally.
We haven't been all that rational
these last brief millenia."
( Nota Bene the Timescale -- emphasis added)
"Preservation: We've got to preserve what we can never replace.
That's what wilderness is.
That's what biodiversity is,
and we're getting rid of both
faster than anybody has ever done."
(NB the Timescale -- emphasis added)
"Restoration: We're bright enough to build back,
to restore the rivers we've dammed,
the forests we've clearcut,
the seas we've bloodied, polluted, and
strip-mined with drift nets;
the mountains we've bolted and bulldozed,
the deserts we've spoiled or mistakenly created;
the ozone layer we've punctured.
We can't restore a lot of things that are gone,
but we can certainly restore human integrity."
from David Brower's Let the Mountains Talk, Let the Rivers Run -- a call to those who would save the Earth
they had me on my third martini
we humans have been partying pretty hard
ransacked most of the Earth for resources
but now we're eating the seed corn
living off the natural capital of the planet
the principal, and not the interest
It was a grand binge
but now the hangover is upon us
and it will soon be throbbing
Rule No. 6
Whatever you do, don't violate Rule No. 6
What is rule number 6?
Rule Number 6 says,
"Never take yourself too seriously."
(Of course, I do, but I pretend I don't.)
What are the other rules?
There are no other rules. pg. 4 in Let the Mountains Talk, Let the Rivers Run

war doesn't work any more
after 9/11/01 my vision cleared up in a hurry
"waging peace" (position paper #1) is not blurry
all markets climb the wall of worry
because
war doesn't work any more
not even preemptive unilateral perpetual
one trillion dollars wasted on war
that's one thousand billions
that's one million millions
we the people are less safe than before

peace is the way
"there is no way to peace, peace is the way"
wise words from a.j. muste
sat at his feet in chicago back in the day
once there was a postcard with his picture
asking when will a great nation. . . . .
use just a tiny fraction of the war budget on peace
and show the world humans are here to stay
