lizzie lou was a bit upset
when i imagined the women's promenade as a ruin
the stonehingieness of the entryway
the Arch of Wife that bumped off hubby
contexted by cacti --- cracks between the bricks
-- filled with desert lichens
but many more structures could be built to last
& to look good & feel good ruin'd
if the whole campus will be returned to Nature
eventually or become a last oasis
in a vastly expanded Sonora
